What makes “The
Floozie” the ultimate turkey decoy?
“The Floozie” may look like a mounted hen with feathers, but
is actually made of a water-friendly (spandex) fabric. It
can be used in any type of weather and can be set up in
about 20 seconds. It is lightweight and easily carried in
its own custom bag. If you set-up on a gobbling bird on the
roost that doesn’t work, and you want to move to a gobbling
bird in another area, just pick up “The Floozie”, slide her
into the carrying case, throw it over your shoulder and take
out. It’s that easy!
What makes “The
Floozie” different from all other decoys?
The Head:
The head is different from all other decoys in that it is
cast from an actual wild hen turkey, artificial feathers are
then placed on the cast. The head is then made of plastic
with real glass eyes. It is hand painted by an air-brush
artist. Our goal is to make this artificial head as
realistic as a wild turkey hen. This is very important in
order to decoy turkeys in close.
 The Body:
The body of “The Floozie” is unlike any other decoy on the
market. The body of the decoy is made of urethane plastic,
but over this is a very unique “skin“. This skin is a photo
of a hen turkey which is computer enhanced and then printed
on a very durable spandex fabric. This fabric looks like
actual feathers of a wild hen, not only having realistic
colors, but also has the natural sheen of a wild turkey.
This natural sheen can’t be produced by any other method.
The best plastic decoys, which are hand painted, can’t match
“The Floozie”.
The Legs:
The legs are made from casts of an actual wild turkey. They
are made of colored plastic with a natural looking finish.
These legs give the appearance of a real hen. The legs are
attached to the body using bungee cords and fold back when
the decoy is placed in its carrying case.
The Stake:
The stake is made of a quarter inch metal rod which is
inserted into a half inch wooden dowel rod which slides into
the decoy. This rod is very stiff and will go into hard
ground easily. The half inch wooden dowel makes it easy to
pull the stake out of the ground.
Carrying case:
The carrying case is a very important part of “The Floozie”
decoy system. It is made of a high quality camouflage fabric
with an outside pocket for the decoy stake. Attached to the
carrying case is an adjustable sling. The carrying case is
designed to fit over your shoulder making the light decoy
easy to carry.
